The Cradles to Crayons Ministry collects new and used baby items for new mothers in need. We distribute them in baskets complete with a pink or blue Bibles and a word of prayer with the family. These baskets may be filled with clothing, blankets, toys, diapers wipes etc. for babies newborn to 18 months. We also accept larger items such as walkers, baby swings, strollers, high chairs, baby beds and play pens. It is a ministry of Darrell Bowers home group.

The Benevolence Ministry is to help those with short term immediate needs because of unforeseen circumstances, such as food, lodging, utility bills etc. our goal is to help our brothers and sisters as Christ's ambassadors.  Please contact Bryan Morrow for more information.

Our facility is flexible and we want the community to feel welcome here.  Whatever your meeting facility needs are (business meetings, community clubs, public school uses, weddings, funerals, class reunions, business expos) you name it, we would love for you to use our building.  Simply contact Saundra Ukena to reserve your space. Our building fees are affordable, flexible, and adjustable according to usage.

The Food Ministry of Fairview Christian Church is available to anyone in the community regardless of income.  It is open Thursdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The entrance is on the south side of the church building.  If you are interested in serving and helping out, come by on Thursday afternoons and ask how you can help.  God has been faithful to supply volunteer workers, food, shoppers and donations.

Funeral Dinners

At some point in life, everyone walks through this part of the journey.  We are often at a loss for words and may not know exactly how to serve those who have lost a loved one.  Everyone knows that comfort comes from gathering around the table, sharing in a good meal, comforting those who are grieving, and remembering the loved one lost.

We hope you will let us prepare that table and that meal in your time of grieving.  All you need to do is ask.  Contact Saundra Ukena and she’ll make arrangements with the funeral dinner team.

Quilting Ladies

What if a hand quilted blanket could actually change the life of a young person?  That is exactly what happens in the Quilting  Ladies Ministry.  For a small fee of 25 cents a yard, we will quilt your blankets and send all of the proceeds to Cookson Hills Children’s Home.  We would encourage you to go to Cookson Hills’ website to see just how important of a ministry we are supporting.

Come join Florence, Betty Twyla, Nana, Marie, Charlotte, Sharon, and Miss Betty any Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., bring a sack lunch and spend the day with us.
