Elders Bios
Mike Endicott and his wife Marva have two grown sons Matt and Drew. Mike is our resident scientist and always has the ability to see the potential in people. As a science teacher in local schools or as a friend to go four wheeling with, Mike truly honors God with his life.
Jerry Burkey and his wife Margie do things for the long haul. 49 years married! 40 years as an active member! 18 years as an Elder! 2 children, 4 grandchildren, not to mention Molly Morrow their “adopted” grandbaby; Jerry and Margie just love the Lord and the people He loves.
Chad Cayton and his wife Mary have been attending Fairview since 1996 and ever since have been servant leaders. Whether teaching a Sunday school class, being an Elder, leading a home group, or just serving when called upon, Chad and Mary Cayton are always ready to be servant leaders. They are especially proud of their son Clarke and his wife Carissa who are both in professions that serve people when they need help the most.
Larry Peters and his wife Jan have been married since 1975 and, when you get right down to it they just love being farmers. Beyond that, they serve and serve some more. Larry rolling around on the floor with preschoolers on Sunday mornings, Jan making every big church event feel like home, they are always there for others. They are very excited about their son Lee and his wife Jackie and new granddaughter Adelaide!
John Mouton and his wife Nancy have been married since 1976. Their three kids Josh, Johnny, and Sarah all love the Lord, which is significant given the amount of adversity their family has endured. After a tragic car accident, leaving Josh paralyzed, the Moutons have not only continued to serve in the body, but they have remained a Godly influence and an encouragement to many others.
Darrel Bowers and his wife Kathy are the best. They are among the most encouraging people you might ever meet. Spending most of his life as a member of Fairview, raising his children, Jared and Megan here, Darrel is always looking for the best in people.
Larry Hicks and his wife Sherri have been madly in love for over 25 years. Their awesome children Kristen and Eli love the Lord almost as much as their parents love each other. Since becoming active at Fairview, Larry lives out Philippians 1:21; “To live is Christ, to die is gain.” If it’s kingdom work, Larry is all in.
Bob Lanyon and wife Penny are committed to the entire world knowing about Jesus. Missions, Food pantries, service projects… if it shows people that Jesus loves them, Bob and Penny will work hard. Their five children and three grandchildren are truly a blessing in their lives.
Tony Allmoslecher and his wife Minette and their six children seem to serve blissfully. Vision, wisdom, insight, and a great outside shot from a three point range are some of Tony’s spiritual gifts. Like all of our other Elders, if there are people to love, Tony is ready for action.
Bob Harris and his wife Carol have been serving here at Fairview for many years. If you know Bob or if you’ve just heard of Bob, you immediately think of humility and servant hood. Gentle and warm, Bob may be the first person you see when you come to Fairview on Sunday morning.
Staff Bios
Saundra Ukena, Office Manager
Over 25 years ago, Saundra came to Fairview to serve our staff and our church and she has been faithful and led us by serving ever since. Her husband Stephen, her 4 children, and her 9 grandchildren are her joy. Be careful when you shake her hand because she probably just came from working in her garden. If you want to get on Saundra’s good side (and why wouldn’t you?) bring her a nice pie.
Piper Lanyon,
Administrative Assistant
Piper has from her first day on staff been not only helpful, but joyful to work alongside. A Carthage hometown girl, Piper married her high school sweetheart back in 1994 and they have two adorable daughters, Elizabeth & Anne. It is obvious that Piper loves her girls and being involved in the PTO at their school. You might hit her up to make some handmade soaps or lotions for ya. She might only ask for a nice piece of chocolate form ya as payment. You'll probably have luck finding her playing with the kids in the nursery here on a Sunday morning. If you have any questions about Student Ministry stuff, go ahead and drop her a quick email.
Mary Bader Administrative Assistant
If you are looking for help and a good garage sale, look no further! Mary can often be seen dragging her Husband Jeff around town looking for that one great bargain. Together, Jeff & Mary, have a couple of great kids Madelynn & Orey. You should invite them over for dinner... Mary's favorite - MEXICAN! Be warned, if you get to Mary, she'll probably scrapbook ya and possibly recruit you to her Garage Sale Squad. Mary would love to help you with any info or questions you have about Childrens Ministry stuff, just drop her a quick email.
Madeline Blades, Treasurer
Madeline has been serving at Fairview since it’s beginning in 1958. For many of those years, she has been blessed to serve alongside her husband of over 40 years, Jim. Everyone who knows Maddy, her three children, and 6 grandchildren or anyone else, knows that if you cover it in chocolate than she’s all about it. Maddy knows what it is to be a friend and to stay the course especially if the course includes walking barefoot on the beach.
Tony Allmoslecher
Have you ever met someone and walked away thinking, that guy’s got it made? That’s Tony, because of his family. His wife Minette and his six children, Clancy, Reilly, Dawson, Hudson, Cooper, and Bliss, really do make Tony a blessed man. We have been blessed as a church since 2006 to have Tony invest in us in preaching, leading, vision, and sincere friendship. It’s obvious that Tony loves the Lord, his family, the team he works with here, and sandwiches. Put all of those together with a good USC football game and Tony will be your friend for life (kind of like feeding a stray cat).
Bryan Morrow
It’s a good thing that Bryan’s job is to get people involved and connected in the body… cuz Bryan just luvs people! Ever since he moved to Carthage in 2003, he has grown to love the people of Carthage and especially those he fellowships and works with at Fairview. Bryan and his wife Kimberly are madly in love with their little girl Molly Mae. If you know Bryan, you know it’s hard to slow him down. He is either out running, playing basketball… geeze even the video games he plays are on a Wii not an Xbox, the guy never sits down. We can’t even figure out how he gets any of his favorite Bunny Tracks ice cream down his throat. Pheww! Bryan’s making me tired.
John Mouton
John and his wife Nancy are long time Carthage folk and members here at Fairview. Along with their three children Joshua, Jonathan, and Sarah, they have experienced the best and endured difficulty, yet they’ve done it together. Music, drama, tech, and the arts are all passions that John loves to see used to bring God honor. Nancy would probably tell you that John views most foods as delivery vessels for butter. Family, music, tennis, church softball, flying, all buttery! Come on by anytime and butter John up.
Angie Fewin
It won’t take long to realize that Angie loves her job. She ropes Kyle, her husband of 7 years into everything she does. She’s even built a children’s ministry at home with her five kids, Aubrie, Caleb, Gabe, Jed, and one in the oven. Her Jesus, her family, her close friends, Children’s Ministry, a quirky french fry dipping habit, mint chocolate ice cream, and any hobby that ends with the word craft are truly Angie’s joy. If you go looking for her, just look behind the large selection of craft gadgets and there you’ll find her, probably with one of her kids.
Chris Huelat
Chris and Judi have been married to each other since 1990. Their kids are Sawyer, Kellan, Gracie & Gibson . After growing up in Southern California, the Huelat’s packed up and moved to Carthage in 1998, but Chris just couldn’t leave it all behind. Always the optimist Chris is still hoping that the San Diego Chargers will soon win a Super Bowl and the Angels will win another World Series. Chris would love to sit and get to know you better over a nice cup of coffee. Come by anytime to talk, or eat, or pray, or eat… see ya soon.
Jake Wiemelt
It doesn’t seem possible but back in 2006 Jake started hanging out here with our high school group. It would be hard to imagine our youth group without him. Although he is from Quincy, Illinois it seems like this has become another home for Jake. All Jake really needs is his relationship with the Lord, a Christ centered relationship with his brothers and sisters, and maybe a good game of baseball.
Ryan Millikan
Ryan is the Preteen minister and works with the 5th and 6th grade students. He and his team of core volunteers seek to provide an inviting, safe and fun environment and challenge students to take their faith to deeper levels. Ryan is preparing to graduate from Ozark Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts in Children’s Ministry. His favorite part of ministry is seeing students own and commit to their personal relationship with God.
Lauren Hill
Lauren is the Early Childhood Minister to children Birth through Pre-Kindergarten and their families. She and the Early Childhood Ministry Team work together to provide a fun, safe, and loving environment where children can learn about Jesus and God’s love for them. Lauren loves the enthusiasm the little ones have for learning about Jesus. She enjoys partnering with families as they lead their kids to know and love Jesus. She and her husband Jason have 3 children.;
