What We Believe

Fairview Christian Church is a community of those who believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We seek to learn and discover from scripture how as a community we can be in a growing relationship with the Lord. We desire to be led by the Holy Spirit in a way that brings glory to God and encourages relationships.

We believe that salvation is a gift of God and is discovered in a relationship with Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s son and he died on the cross and rose again from the grave to save us from the penalty of eternal death and give us eternal life. (John 1:12)

We believe that repentance is an authentic desire to turn away from anything that hinders our relationship with God which will result in a life guided by His Word bringing Him glory. (Romans 6:1-2)

We believe that confession is the open declaring of your faith in Jesus Christ and can be lived out everyday as we interact with people in both the way we speak and the way we act. (Romans 10:9)

We believe that baptism is identifying your self with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is our privilege and responsibility to tell the world that we are fully committed to God, His Son and His Spirit and we want to carry out his purpose with our life. (Acts 2:38)

We believe that it is essential to belong to a spiritual community that is under the authority of God. This allows us to learn Christ-likeness as we engage in relationships. Together, we can then go out into our city and the world telling people and showing people the truth and love of Christ.
